Well 5 Replacement Project
To meet our current and future water needs, the City of Milton will be drilling a replacement well at the Well 5 facility located on 19th Avenue at Hill Tower Park. Drilling of the replacement well is planned to begin on or around March 19th and will continue for approximately two months. The drilling process could potentially be noisy; however, the daily work schedule will be 8:00 AM until no later than 5:00 PM, barring emergencies or other time-critical operations. We do not anticipate any work on weekends.
Near the end of the project sometime towards the end of the month of May, it will become necessary to complete a 24-hour long pumping test. This will require working through the night. A similar notice to this will be provided to the residents once the test pump schedule has been defined. We do not anticipate significant noise during the pumping test, but there will be site activity continuing through the night.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Dustin Sloan at the City of Milton Public Works Department at: 253-579-4731. Thank you for your patience and understanding during the drilling and testing of the replacement well.
