Citywide Water Flushing Program

Water Flushing

The City of Milton recently sent out an insert with the utility bill sharing information about the 2021 water flushing program. The insert did not include a start date and while this was intentional, it has led to some confusion. Our main objective was to get the information to our residents as soon as possible so they could ask questions and gather information well before the flushing takes place. The city is still working with NO-DES to determine a start date. We will notify every one of the start date once received.

A question we have been asked frequently is ”when will you get to my street"? We will start flushing on 5th Avenue near the Lloyd's gravel pit site and work our way from there. How quickly we move will be determined by how long it takes to clean each section of the water main. We are also working on a map for the website showing where we are at in the process and where we have been. This should provide residents with a general idea of when we may be in their area. Along with the map, we will be putting out sandwich boards in the neighborhoods a day or two prior to starting. If you haven't already, please take the time to read the water flushing information that was included in your utility bill.
