Kemper Playground located at Milton Community Park is closed for improvements.
On October 5th, City Council approved a contract to remove and replace the existing playground equipment. The current wood chips will be replaced with much safer rubberized interlocking tiles. Playground equipment will be replaced with age appropriate equipment that will meet current safety standards. We anticipate the playground area will remain closed until early 2021. As of 2-2-21, the anticipated date of reopening is mid to late March.
We want to thank Mayor Styron Sherrell for her dedication to park improvements, our City Council for their support and approval, and city staff for their behind the scene work to get this project completed.
You can find details of the project in the October 5th council packet.
Did you know that the City of Milton has FOUR playground areas within the City. While Kemper Playground is closed for a couple of months, try visiting one of the other three.
