About the Commission
The Civil Service Commission consists of five members appointed by the Mayor as described in Milton Municipal Code 2.32. Terms are for six years with one member’s term expiring each year. No person shall be appointed a member of such commission who is not a citizen of the United States, a resident of such city for at least three years immediately preceding such appointment, and an elector of the county wherein he or she resides. The Civil Service Commission establishes the hiring and promotional listings of police personnel for the City. The Civil Service Secretary/Examiner is Trisha Summers; she can be reached via email.
