City Council
The City of Milton operates under a strong Mayor form of government with seven elected Councilmembers serving four-year terms. The Mayor serves as the Chief Administrative Officer of the City and has hired a City Administrator to assist in day-to-day operations. The Council acts as the legislative body.
The City Council meets regularly the second and third Mondays of the month at 7:00 p.m. and holds a study session the first Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the Council Chambers, 1000 Laurel Street. Special meetings are noticed at least 24 hours prior.
NOTE: NEW COUNCIL SCHEDULE IS NOW IN EFFECT: Beginning November 1, 2012, the City Council's meeting schedule will be as noted above.
